Close but no cigar

Hey! In case you have n't heard let me be the one to tell you, that Brett Farve has indeed not retired but has been traded to the New York Jet's. Yes ; Farve is in New York the playing field has been leveled in the division.
ESPN reported that the deal came into fruition in the early stages on Thursday and the terms that have been released;are that the jet's will have to give the Pack anywhere from a 4th round draft choice to a 1st round draft choice if the Jet's should happen to make it to the SuperBowl; all of the terms are sure to be disclosed in the next few weeks, and the knowns are that the jet's will give up an increased draft choice to the Pack if Farve can or does play the majority of the season.
Lots of people (including myself) were thinking and or hoping that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would have been able to get the 16 year veteran of the NFL.
There is still hope for the Buc's; Chad Pennington's agent has been contacted by the Buc's orginization and we'll all have to sit back and watch the sea of quarter backs make their play for their spot in the own respective rosters. Good luck to all in the up coming season and as always................. LET'S GO BUC'S!!!!!!!!!

Summer Time Fun

Hey there! I'm back again for another chance to let you know what's going on in the world of the " dragon master"; and I have alot to talk about this time! So; without any futher delay, or hesitation..... here we go!

This was the first time in almost 5 years I got to see my oldest son; he got to come up for the first part of the summer from Texas, this was both a happy and emmotional time for me and my son.

We and the rest of the family had alot of things planned for this visit and we got most of the planned stuff done and the cool thing was that we did some things on the spur of the moment!

We started off by going to Cleveland for ;I thought ; one of the coolest places to go, and that was the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. We got to see items from the Beatles and The Who, we also saw the Pink Floyd's Division Bell and The Wall. The experience was great for the older of the bunch but unfortunately the little ones didn't really enjoy the experience but that I guess is the way that family vacations go sometimes.
You can't always please all of them all of the time!

We went to the Toledo Zoo several times; now, that was cool!!!!! LIONS TIGERS AND BEARS!!!!! Don't forget the Penguins and Monkeys.

We took our camera with us and once I figure how to upload the pictures we'll try to get them into my next blog.

We have gone to the street fairs and the parks; done the bike rides and just hung out where ever we could.

I hope that you all out there have had a very enjoyable summer season and I'm sure that I am not the only one to say this but thank goodness that school is around the corner!!!!
All of my kids will now be in school this year!!!!!

I just wouldn't be me without mentioning the fact that in the next month we will be able once again able to set down in our favorite easy chair with our favorite snacks and beverages and see our grid iron teams back at the run for the Super Bowl; may all teams do well this year.

Predictions for the New home for Former Green Bay Packer Bret Farve..... let me here them!!!!
Some say that the Lions are in talks with the Pack and Farve about him coming to Detroit; that won't help them!!!!!!

To all of my readers

I'm sorry that I don't always update my blog in a timely manner, but due to the hectic nature of my schedule.
I don't always have the chance to get on and usually at midnight I don't feel like turning on this computer all I feel like doing is getting home and eating and watching a little television and then passing out! I'm sure that most of you can relate to that feeling!
My oldest son Devin is here for the month and I couldn't be happier ,and everybody knows it! We are going to take a trip down south for a couple of days and on the way we'll stop at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio and then we'll head on down south!
We may come back and maybe not? I'm just gettting tired of the B.S. that has been going on in the last few months, but chances are we'll go down and I'll just forget all the other crap that has been going on. This is usually the way it goes when we get out of the area.
I'm going to be off for two weeks here in a few days so I'll just bite my tongue for a couple more days and then just have a one night stupid-fest, and leave for the fun stuff I want to do!!!!
Well; time is drawing near for me to relax for this evening and enjoy my day off tommorrow and spend some time with my family!

To all of you Dad's out there Happy Father's Day; especially to Sam for with out him things would be less meaningful; we have had our times of bumping heads, but I have the highest respect for him because He makes my Mom so happy!!!!! So to him I say; I love you!

Sporting in '08

How about that sports fans and armchair managers!!!

The Detroit Tigers are having a pathetic start to this year! I am ashamed to say that they are a miserable 2-10; how crappy is that?? I don't want to close the door on them so early in the season, but we have not had a start like this since the 90's. I honestly don't think that they have the weapons on the mound to help their bats when they are hitting well and they are not hitting well at all!!!!!! They last game on Saturday against Chicago the got beat up terribly!!!!! They were shut out by a score of 12-0!

Now; on a brighter note the Detroit Red Wings have been doing great in the playoffs against the Nashville Predators although they did lose their last game in Nashville the series is still 2-1 in favor of the Wings the next game will be in Nashville. Go Wings!!!

The Piston's are getting ready for their play-offs this year they are looking for yet another divisional championship and maybe even another championship ring the playoffs are still a little way in the future but the prospect is more than hopeful!!!

Then there is the Detroit Lions; yes I can hear everybody and their brother moaning in disgust but you have got to give Jon Kitna credit for sticking his foot and leg in his mouth so early; it's not even training camp and he is saying that they will WIN 10 games; we all remember his 10 games guarantee for last year and they finished what...... 6-10. I just think that he should try harder on leading the boys in silver and blue to a way to play a full 60minutes of football and not worry so much about predictions leave those to the people on the sport shows and the news broadcasts.

The Lions don't have an easy schedule but they also don't have a terribly hard schedule from the release of their 2008 schedule courtesy of ESPN they play some good teams early and they play some average teams too. Time will tell !

I have to say this everyone; however, look out for those Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

They are going to be hungry from their disappointing first round loss to those NY Giants; now I'm not sure if Michael Allstott will be suiting up for training camp he had suffered a serious neck injury last year in camp, but I'm hopeful to see him back in the line up this fall!

These are my thoughts and not yours, but your welcome to sound off!

All comments are welcome just play nice; I do!

Orange Barrel Syndrome

You know; I love this state, but the one thing that I hate more than dealing with stupid people on the expressway is dealing with the idiots and then dodging the orange barrel syndrome! I had to take my girl friend out to Royal Oak for an appointment that she had to keep, and we had snow on the ground from last night and the roads were still a bit icy from the low temperatures. So; off we went going out there we notice that I-75 was going to be closed at a certain point, and naturally we had to take that particular way!!!
So we end up having to go through the down town area not a big deal. We get to the appointment on time and all is well!
Fast forward to the trip home we take the route home that is needed to get home and not noticing the time we get stuck on I-75 which wouldn't be a big deal since we were so close to I-94 ramp, but it seemed like everyone and their brother wanted to get off there!!!! WE SAT THERE FOR 20 minutes before we notice that it's closing in on the time to go and get our son and daughter from their respective schools. Enter panic mode!!!! I call my son's school and get the secretary and let her know that we are running late and we would be there as quickly as possible; then I try calling my daughters school and would n't you believe this I can't get anyone to answer the dang phone. WTF?????
I would think that they would have someone manning the phones since that is a school, what if this was an emergency or some one had to have their child take an alternate means home!!!!! Why do we pay these people to manage our children if they are not doing the job??????
Needless to say; we get off the expressway and drive through the city and basically take the scenic route to get to the schools.
Someone should tell the road commission to be more accomidating to my schedule!!! LOL!!!!!

Whoa Time Flies

Well; It's the time of the year when the trees start to bud,and the flowers start to pop up through the ground...... Oh wait that would be somewhere there is actually warm temperatures.
Yes; this again a typical Michigan season, or lack of you be the judge. I think Mother Nature just wants to keep us under her thumb for a few more months. I wonder if she got up on the wrong side of the bed somewhere!!!!! She is certainly not being to kind to us, and I was looking forward to having a yard to care for again; not this week at least.

Some of you out there were probably thinking I fell off the face of the Earth and I'm happy to say that I have just been getting some stuff done at the house. I had to re-paint some bedrooms and a stairwell because my two boys think that they are the re-incarnation of Da Vinci or maybe Vangot. They are 6(Moose); and 4 (Scooter) and that isn't their real names but only nick names, and they are both very artistic and also rarely listen to their mother or myself. You know the type...... Now Boy's don't do that! And they say, "o.k" TWO seconds later they are doing what we have told them not to do!!!!! GO FIGURE!!!! I was never like that; I swear!!!!! I hope every one enjoyed seeing the upset that I saw coming, but either way it was a GREAT game.

Now; It's time for the playoffs in hockey which, and I'm sorry to say, I haven't seen a game all season.
So; if anyone out there knows who's playing who and where or when. Let me know.

Spring does have it's brighter side however; it's time for Spring camp for the Michigan Wolverines and that other Michigan college team. What's there name............oh yes; the Spartans, and the College Football season is in throwing distance of being here!!!!

I have rambled long enough; so I'll talk more later.
